Country View Motel

Looks small on the outside but, for a one or two night stay, it's definitely a nice motel. Good, hot running water plus a TV (not the biggest or best quality but it still was nice to have). Linda was incredibly kind and parking is free. If you need a place to stay in the area, you should check it out.

Nice rooms. Has refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, hairdryer. Rooms are nice size, clean, decorated nice. Ours had a comfortable queen bed, table with 2 chairs and a recliner. Other reviews that I read was the musty smell. It’s mostly in the hall. They are replacing the carpet in every room as I am writing this. I think this will help with the musty smell. The four stars is for the tv. Just antennae tv and comes and goes while watching.

I had a very enjoyable experience. I’m a thru hiker and have stayed at many motels/hotels over the years and would say this was one of the best when you compare price to what you get. The room felt like a comfortable bedroom. The owners were very friendly and helped me with a ride after a long day of hiking so I could get a pizza at Porky’s(which was delicious). 5 stars!

Been stopping by here for over 15 years. Rooms are always well maintained and super clean and comfortable. Owners are friendly and welcoming.

Nice owners, nice rooms, nice price. We really appreciate all the work and attention Linda has put into coming up with clever fun themes like the Moose Room and the Eagle Room (the two we have stayed in), cute and tastefully done with furnishings and wall art, and we have a good time talking with them when we are checking in and out. The rooms are clean and no stinky perfumey odors which are often a problem at hotels and motels and the views out the windows are really pleasant. We are chemically sensitive so can't take any fumes, and have no problems here unlike at many other places. My one and only wish is that the smoking outside could be placed further from the windows since we like to keep the windows open. Maybe a little gazebo way over away from the building someday.

Cute old little motel. Nothing fancy but definitely clean and quiet for a one-night stay after a friend's wedding. The staff are also extremely friendly and the rates are awesome. Would definitely consider staying there again if I am ever back in the area.

My husband and I stayed here Saturday and LOVED IT!!!!! I don't know why ANYONE would give them 1 star, doesn't make sense!!!! We had our best friends fly in from NC to visit their family at their cabin. We spent the whole day on Potato Lake and were to exhausted to drive the 2 1/2 hours back home. My husband called Country View Motel and talked to the lovely Mrs. Linda and made a reservation. She told him if he came after 10pm he would have to pay cash. She was tired and wanted to go to bed, which is understandable. We stopped at Burdy's bar to get a pizza to go. Mrs. Linda stayed open PAST 10pm for us because we couldn't get cash and so she stayed open late just for us to except our card!!!!!! We got the Bear Room!!!! And we LOVED IT!!!!!!!! It was so warm and homely, the bed was amazing, such a cozy room!!! We loved our stay there and felt so welcome that we will be back!!!! My husband and I can't wait to go back to stay in the Cardinal Room! And all the other themed rooms!!! If I could describe it, it is like the cabin feel, where you are sad to have to leave!!!!! But we are going to go back!

I stay every few months. I always enjoy my stay here! Nice and quiet, much better then the big chain hotels. Very clean and the price is great! The owners are great too. You may want to bring bottled water if you cant handle what taste like very hard "well water".
